When people do not have enough ressources to feed themselves or their family, they cannot focus on anything other than getting food for tomorrow. Finding a lasting solution involves accessing the job market, and getting a job takes time and effort.
Action Against Hunger's Solidarity Aid Cards program allows people in extreme need who participate in its employment and entrepreneurship programs to fill their shopping basket and meet their most urgent needs. In the meanwhile, they can focus on training and finding an economic livelihood that will secure their future.
The Solidarity Aid Cards are wallet cards through which the organization pays a monthly amount of money sufficient for an average family in Spain to be able to eat adequately. This aid is accompanied by training in healthy living habits and nutrition.
- Provide Solidarity Aid Cards with €346/month and for 2 months (€692 in total) to people in extremely vulnerable situations so that they can fill their shopping basket and meet their most urgent needs.
- Provide training in healthy lifestyle habits and nutrition to the users of the Solidarity Cards.
